popularity problem

Upfront PhotoFirst, the good news: We’re popular. From culinary events to tennis leagues, the vibrant Bellevue Club community is composed of active, remarkable people of all ages, who love to attend events, exercise and do business at the Club.

Now, the bad news: We have a parking challenge, but we’re working diligently to address it.

In fact, not a day goes by without the Bellevue Club leadership team discussing how to make parking a more user-friendly experience for members.

From these discussions, we’ve recently implemented several new policies designed to help members with parking during peak hours.

Bellevue Club employees now park permanently off site—except for the days when the Club is least busy, and even then, they only park in the extreme north end of the lot nearest the Hilton.

Next, our valet staff continually inspects the parking lot during key crunch times and will valet park member cars for free whenever the lot is full. Look for the “Lot Full” sign and then pull right up to the main Club/Hotel entrance. Polaris Grill patrons also receive this complimentary service when dining.

Lastly, Hotel Bellevue staff proactively redirect Hotel guests to valet so that there are no hotel guest cars using spaces in the lot.

While we have taken proactive steps to make the parking experience more pleasant for members, we need your help too.

When picking up or dropping off children, please do not stop directly in front of the Athletic entrance and do not allow your children to cross in front of incoming traffic. This is a major safety hazard—particularly at night or during inclement weather—and our youngest members deserve the safest experience possible. Stopping near the entrance also slows traffic and creates a frustrating backup for other members. Instead, please circle around the east perimeter of the lot and pull up next to the curb in front of the gym whenever you are dropping off or picking up.

Please also refrain from using the loading dock. Backing out of the spot creates a potential safety issue, as well as blocking access for our important service providers and delivery trucks.

If the lot appears full and there is no “Lot Full” sign, please be sure to check the north end of the lot. We usually find ample parking available near the pools and tennis courts on crowded days. These spots are approximately the same distance from the Athletic Entrance as the first five rows in front of the hotel, and it’s exactly where I would go if I was running late for a class or tennis match.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to seek me out. I always appreciate member feedback.

Thank you for your continued support as we work to continuously improve our service to you.
