Intermediate Adult participants continue to improve endurance and confidence by swimming front crawl and elementary backstroke for greater distances. Participants also begin to learn coordinated back crawl, breaststroke and butterfly as well as basic turns at the wall.
Class size: 6. Lessons are at 7:30 p.m.

The purpose of the program is to teach
individuals of all ages to be safe in, on or
around the water. The program covers the
knowledge and skills needed for aquatic
skill development. Skills are grouped into
the following aquatic and water-safety
categories: Water Entry & Exit; Breath
Control & Submersion; Buoyancy; Changing
Direction & Position; Treading Water;
Swimming on Front & Back; and Water
Safety. Lessons are available throughout the summer.

Beginning Adult is for those ages 13 and up to introduce students to basic water safety as well as skills to help participants feel comfortable in the water. Front crawl and elementary backstroke are practiced and breaststroke is introduced.
