Nibbles and Picks
New musician hits the Splash Deck
Take a sip of wine as the hot summer day slips into the cool evening. A dark-haired minstrel floats smooth, rhythmic, Spanish-influenced acoustic guitar across the outdoor deck. Your date gazes softly across the table at you.
No, you aren’t dining al fresco at a lively villa on the Costa del Sol. And no, you aren’t dreaming. You’ve actually stumbled upon the summer “Music on the Deck” series at Splash.

TEMPORARY POLARIS CLOSURE
This month, the Bellevue Club’s fine dining restaurant is closing for necessary repair and restoration of the main kitchen.
In the meantime, Splash will be open for breakfast seven days a week, and Cosmos will remain open with regular hours.
We apologize for the inconvenience and look forward to an estimated August opening with a full lineup of innovative, seasonal dishes. |

If you haven’t already heard, every Friday night at 6 p.m., the entire outdoor dining area oozes acoustic ambience as Seattle musician Harold Belskus plays his amazing set. A former lead guitarist in a touring indie band and nomadic world traveler, Harold’s current influences span a wide cultural scope—he’s performed reggae sets in Mexico, hip-hop in Belize and classical in Guatemala.
Good music begets good food. Nibble on a sublime spinachi salad with roasted pears and Gorgonzola while sipping on a crisp Lachini Pinot Gris. Split a Grand Marnier soufflé and a bottle of sweetly balanced Late Harvest Riesling for
dessert.
Repeat next week for effect. |
