 Splash Just Got SpicierTry the Best Bloody Mary in Bellevue Splash Manager Michael Gardner recently gave members another reason to get out of their pajamas on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Launched in January, the new Bloody Mary Bar in Splash is the perfect way to savor the weekend. Here’s the way it works: Splash supplies the premier spirits and you create the rest at the colorful self-serve bar. Choose from mild or spicy tomato juice, hot sauce, peppers, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, buffalo mozzarella, olives, pickled asparagus, green beans, several salt varieties and more. Elaborate or simple, it’s all up to you. “It’s fabulous for a post-workout brunch rendezvous with friends,” says Michael.  The origins of the bloody mary stem from the early 1920s in a bar in Paris frequented by American expatriates including Ernest Hemmingway. The bartender then moved to New York and transformed the simple vodka and tomato juice drink into the deliciously elaborate beverage seen today. “We are taking the bloody mary to a whole new level in Splash,” Michael says. Along with your custom refreshing bloody mary, round out a perfect morning with the Irish benedict with shaved corned beef and hollandaise sauce or the brioche French toast. The new Bloody Mary Bar is $7 per person. Brunch is served in Splash from 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday. |
