Nothing says the start of another ski season like a Warren Miller film premiere. Jaw-dropping ski and snowboard action accompanied by folksy narrative and world-class cinematography, this year’s film, “Children of Winter,” features everything from deep powder in the Rockies to a ski expedition to Iceland—on a sailboat. Warren Miller—who now lives on Orcas Island—has released 59 feature films and many credit him with the advent of action sports cinematography. Catch “Children of Winter” at the Meydenbauer Center Saturday, Nov. 15 and Sunday, Nov. 16, with three showings each day. The film also premiers in Seattle at McCaw Hall on Saturday, Nov. 21 and Sunday, Nov. 22, with two showings each day.
