Seattle’s Chinatown-International District celebrates summer July 8 and 9 with the neighborhood’s summer festival. Events include lion and dragon dances, Taiko drumming and drill teams at the Dragon Stage. There will also be arts and crafts, business and community information, food and more. This year also includes the Fourth-Annual Karaoke Idol contest. This is the largest pan-Asian festival in the Pacific Northwest. The Dragon Stage is located at Hing Hay Park, 409 Maynard Ave. S., and vendor booths line South King Street between Sixth and Eighth avenues south. Festival hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, July 8, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, July 9. For more information, visit www.cidbia.org/events.asp.
