The holidays are here, providing plenty of opportunities for family outings. This year, check out Country Village in Bothell. There is something for everyone at this collection of shops and restaurants. Currently, Country Village is holding its Holiday Harvest Tree Sale, where you can find Christmas trees, wreaths and garlands made with fresh-cut greens. The sale runs through Dec. 24. On Saturday, Dec. 2, Santa arrives at 7 p.m. via his sleigh. There will be train rides throughout the day, and local groups will perform holiday-themed music. Saturday night will also feature a traditional tree lighting after Santa gets settled. In addition to lighted Christmas trees, see thousands of lit displays,
including a giant sea serpent, fiddling pig, trumpeting angels, an animated train and more. And don’t forget your snack of hot, roasted chestnuts, served from 5 p.m. until they’re gone.
